    • For over sixty years, salmon has been smoked in the same way. We use traditional smoking methods inspired by a traditional Danish method, which has now disappeared. In 1958, Gaston Barthouil, the founder of the company, had the brilliant idea of applying locally a precious know-how that he had sought elsewhere. Today, we are proud to reproduce the same gestures. The unique taste of our smoked fish is based on this very special smoking process, using alder wood, which reveals the true taste of salmon and its firm texture.


      The manufacturing process is identical for all the salmon we receive. Whether farmed or wild, they come from the same species: Salmo salar. Eel, tuna from Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and trout from the Pyrenees are processed and smoked using the same method.

    Customer service that has nothing to do with the customer. After problems with deliveries delayed 5 times, the customer service people don't care, it's not their problem ^^. to ban Barthouil's response below has been modified because they are so ashamed of themselves... a more classic message when they had absolutely nothing to do with my problem, only hypocrisy and products with an overrated reputation...

    An excellent smoked salmon. On the other hand, the 800g pot of garbure is absolutely worthless. A small piece of candied neck and that’s it. No sausage, almost no cabbage and beans on the other hand lots of slices of carrots and the taste is ordinary and €27.90 in a butcher's shop. I will never buy their canned goods again
