  4th campsite on our trip. In fact I'd originally planned a stay around Biarritz but the reality of just rocking up in high season after a 4 hour drive hit hard. Emplacements complet... everywhere. This was site the closest fall back position from the coast we could find that also packed out. What a find!!! You'd be forgiven for completely overlooking this quiet, unassuming municipal in the noise of sites offering waterslides and higher fees. This is a gem tucked away as it is next to the gave d'oloron River. The very well constructed and clean facilities punch well above the size of the site. The office was closed when we rolled in but we checked the pitch rosta and set up in an unallocated spot. The friendly landlady came along later and all was good. As with every municipal I've ever stayed at; this is a credit to the community. We felt we'd dodged a less pleasant evening had my original plan have played out. Oh... and set an alarm for 2.30am, go outside your tent and look up!!!

  Clean. Nice staff. Very nice to find a place to camp in this beautifull area
