Visiting the archaeological site of the Pope’s caves

By reservation only from April to September

In the company of a mediator, you go for a walk in the heart of Chalosse to the archaeological site on the Cave trail. During this hike between forests and meadows, you discover the evolution of the landscape, flora and fauna and go back in time to the time of the occupation of the Brassempouy caves. Once on the archaeological site, a presentation of this exceptional site will be made to you, before turning back towards the village.

Important practical information:

> Visits are offered:

- Saturdays in April, May, June and September

- Mondays , Thursdays and Fridays in July and August

> Meet at 9:15 a.m. at the PréhistoSite reception, departure at 9:30 a.m., any delay will result in the cancellation of the reservation

> Good physical condition required .

> Duration 3h30 - Distance: 3.5 km one way (7 km round trip via the same path).

> The hike takes place in a natural environment.

> Bring appropriate clothing and shoes (even in summer)

> Bring a bottle of water

> Hike not accessible to people with reduced mobility and strollers.

> Yellow vest recommended.

> Pets prohibited.
