Our history

• 1975: Gainier Gilder on leather from father to son for three generations, Claude CAMUSET learned the trade in the family workshop located in the center of Paris.

• 1982: He opened his own Workshop in Clichy la Garenne.

• 2005: After fourteen years of management and business, he decided to reside in the Landes and set up a workshop: LA GAINERIE D’ART

• 2019: His wife, Valérie CAMUSET, sets up an SAS: LA GAINERIE D’ART. Takes over the main activity and develops a Leather Goods line.

Nature of activity

Upholstery and gilding on leather The practice of this activity is the covering of any object or piece of furniture with leather or other materials such as: fabrics, leatherette, velvet, etc.

On these sheaths, gilding can be applied using appropriate equipment, called gilding irons or rollers; (tools chiseled on brass).

Several gildings can be printed, in 24-carat gold leaf, in gold on 22-carat plastic film, or imitation gold and color marking.

The realizations

• The leather sheathing of the tops of secretary desks and game tables, applying a gilding corresponding to the nature of the furniture, modern or old.
• The manufacture of boxes for notary furniture ''dis cartonniers'' with leather and gilding front.
• The production of stylish or modern office items, desk pads, binders, notepads, pencil holders.
• Hunting books, cellar books, guest books, photo albums…
• Arranging drawers for storage: silverware, boutique drawers, etc.
• The manufacture of leather goods accessories, bags, small leather goods, belts, etc.
• The manufacture or arrangement of luxury hunting rifle cases or collector's weapons.
• And any specific request for cladding or gilding for interior decoration.
