Between the Lac de Léon and the ocean, the Courant d'Huchet is a preserved and atypical ecosystem. This Nature Reserve is home to original flora and fauna, specific to the mouths. This environment, which combines the fresh waters of the watercourse and the salty waters of the ocean, offers a refuge and a welcoming land for many aquatic and terrestrial species. At the mouth, you will contemplate a permanent spectacle between the entry and exit of the water, depending on the tides. It is also a great opportunity to discover this protected area, which is nicknamed the “Little Amazonia of the Landes”.
