The Peatlands of Estanque form a very specific ecosystem a stones throw from the city of Dax. This natural area has been classified as “Natura 2000” in order to protect it from drying out and trampling by visitors. A small artificial dam thus makes it possible to maintain this humid environment and arrangements facilitate access to it, while protecting the rare flora and fauna that develop there. The walk on the trails and the pontoon is documented. Fans and collectors of beautiful plants will enjoy observing Drosera in the wild, but also many insects.
