What are the beaches of Hossegor, ocean side?

From the Arcachon basin to the Basque Country, the beaches of the Landes are among the most beautiful in France. If we call it the Côte d'Argent, it is because it is absolutely beautiful. To the south of the Landes coast, Hossegor is a very pleasant seaside resort for tourists as it offers many activities. To make you want to stay there, we take you from north to south, on the four beaches of the Atlantic coast of Hossegor:

  • The North Beach is the first in the town, after Seignosse. It is protected from the residential district of Hossegor by the dune cordon. This is a naturist beach. Quite rare on this type of beach, swimming is supervised there in season. All audiences can go there, in a very friendly atmosphere. A parking lot borders the entire boulevard du Front de mer. There is a restaurant at your disposal on the beach. You will also find a surf school here.

  • The Beach of la Gravière is a little more difficult to access for families than the central beach, because the dune line is wider and higher there. The car park along the boulevard du Front de mer is therefore a little further from the waterfront. In addition, there are no specific facilities for children, nor any shops nearby. There is still a restaurant and a surf school. Swimming is supervised there in season. It is very popular with athletes for its slightly wilder side.

  • The South Beach forms the end of the Atlantic facade of Hossegor. It is extended by Notre-Dame Beach, which is located in the town of Capbreton. The walk to the Capbreton Estacade is really worth the detour. You will have a beautiful view of the Passe de Boucarot. It is a very urban beach, where the dune cordon is non-existent. Beautiful houses line the beach. You will also find surf schools, restaurants, parking… For children, there is even a Mickey Club.
